Just popped in to try out a new eatery. Glad we did. We ordered the special, which was a Hugh catfish. It was cooked to perfection. Both of us enjoyed it. The service was great and helpful. Looking for a change in menu, check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Ok this restuarant is elevated latin fusion food in the suburbs. The food was excellent! The staff were attentive and very professional. If you are in the area you gotta go. They will not disappoint.

The food was excellent. Not your typical Mexican place. It's a step above and the service was outstanding. No need to go downtown for upscale Mexican food. I had the salmon and will definitely be back. Do yourself a favor and go !

Just tried this restaurant --- more so out of curiosity because from just the name we had no idea what type of food was served. Turns out to be Mexican fusion and it's excellent. We will return for dinner and lunch once they open that service on July 1st.

We had a very good dinner here. Our table ordered the carne asada and the shrimp a la chimpa. Both were delicious! We also tried the lentil soup and a virgin guava margarita. The steak came with nopales, arugula salad, and beans. The shrimp came with plantains. Everything was tasty and the service was good. The owner is clearly passionate about the business. Matteson needs more upscale/casual restaurants like Fogon!
